The construction of a smelter or refining facility carried out by PT Freeport Indonesia in the JIIPE industrial area is an effort to boost the competitiveness of the national industry through downstream minerals. The PT Freeport Indonesia smelter project is located in the JIIPE industrial area, East Java, which is built on 100 hectares of land, as well as a supporting area of 120 hectares.
