JIIPE Industrial Estate Offers The Highest Level of Security Features as Bank Indonesia Considers Its Strategic Project Development

Head of Representative of Bank Indonesia (KPw BI) of East Java Province, Doddy Zulverdi visited the construction site of Bank Indonesia's Eastern Main Cash Depot located at Java Integrated Industrial and Port Estate, or JIIPE, in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Gresik, East Java. In connection with his inauguration as the new Head of Bank Indonesia Representative of East Java Province on Monday, May 22, 2023, and then wanting to ensure that the project in his working area did not experience significant obstacles, Doddy Zulverdi, who previously served as Head of KPWBI North Sumatra Province, officially replaced Mr. Budi Hanoto, who switched to a new position as Head of the Strategic Management and Governance Department at Bank Indonesia Headquarters.

Received by Ifan Johar Kuswahyudi as Finance Director and Iskandar Rares as Marketing Business Development General Manager PT Berkah Kawasan Manyar Sejahtera (BKMS), Doddy was invited to tour and review the facilities and supporting utilities belonging to the mega project area built by Pelindo and AKR Corporindo. The review is in order to ensure that facilities and utilities are in accordance with project needs, as well as the field progress of the Bank Indonesia DKUT project in JIIPE integrated industrial area.

The land maturation process is being carried out as an initial foundation and construction development stage. By occupying an area of 14 hectares, it is hoped that the DKUT development can support Bank Indonesia's eastern operations.

Doddy Zulverdi emphasized, "We chose JIIPE as the location of Bank Indonesia's money management project as a reflection of our confidence in the availability of all infrastructure, facilities, and security, of course." The government has designated JIIPE industrial area as a National Strategic Project, which has an area of 3000 hectares with 1800 hectares of industrial land. It was designated a national vital object in April 2023 and in-terms of security, JIIPE industrial area has a maximum-security system, which is an important factor for Bank Indonesia as the central bank to maintain stability in supporting distribution operations to meet cash distribution throughout the working area of Bank Indonesia.

"This is something that we really welcome because it will make the distribution of equitable development and the acceleration of our economy towards an advanced Indonesia in 2025 possible," added Doddy.
