Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The Java Integrated Industrial and Ports Estate (JIIPE) as the first integrated area in Indonesia developed by AKR Corporindo Tbk and Pelindo 3 in Gresik, East Java, launched a 50 hectare clean cluster. This cluster is specifically provided to accommodate the food and pharmaceutical industries.
President Director of PT AKR Corporindo Tbk, Haryanto Adikoesoemo said, JIIPE was the pioneer of clean block areas in industrial estates. AKR Corporindo Tbk is the owner of 60 percent of the JIIPE integrated industrial estate project
"Within industrial estates, we are the first to be integrated, which has ports and independent utility facilities. And I think, we were the first to make a clean block area. We have not seen any other areas that specialize in clean industries, "Haryanto told Metrotvnews.com, in Jakarta, Tuesday 10 October 2017.
It is time, industrial estates have a clean area that is very much needed by the food and pharmaceutical sectors as one of the pillars of Indonesia's economic growth. That consideration underlies JIIPE building a special cluster.
"Why does JIIPE create a cluster, because we believe that with the cluster there will be synergy and efficiency. Now, what we are currently launching is clean block, "Haryanto said.
So far there is one bread industry that has invested in JIIPE's clean block area. Tuesday, October 10, PT AKR Corporindo Tbk facilitated a dialogue between business people in the food and pharmaceutical industry with the government.
Present at the event were Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto, Head of the Investment Coordinating Board Thomas Lembong, Director General of Customs and Excise Heru Pambudi, and East Java Governor Soekarwo. This meeting is to look for various problems faced by entrepreneurs in both sectors and to socialize the existence of clean block areas in JIIPE for
"Some industries from Indonesia have been interested in investing in the clean block area. Where for stage I, this cluster will be able to accommodate around 12 industries, "Haryanto explained.
The construction of the clean block area of JIIPE has received appreciation from the Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto. "Of course we welcome the existence of this clean block area because the food and pharmaceutical industry is an industry whose development is quite good," he said.
The construction of the JIIPE clean cluster will continue. It is currently recorded, from 1,800 hectares of JIIPE industrial area master plan. In phase I the development has provided 300 hectares of industrial land with the planning of three other clusters which have been prepared to accommodate several industries, including CPO refinery and liquid chemistry in liquid block areas equipped with piping facilities to liquid bulk jetty, smelter area, and multi purpose stage II area.
