In August 2023, the groundbreaking of the Police Building in JIIPE Industrial and Port Area was held. The East Java Regional Police's Main Officers, the Head of the East Java Regional Police, the President Director of PT Berkah Kawasan Manyar Sejahtera, PT Pelindo Officials, and the Head of Gresik Regency Manpower Office were all present at the event, which signaled the start of the construction of the Police Building, which is located just inside the main gate area of the JIIPE SEZ Gresik Area.
Bambang Soetiono, President Director of PT Berkah Kawasan Manyar Sejahtera (BKMS) as the developer of JIIPE, said that the Java Integrated Industrial and Ports Estate (JIIPE) area, which has been designated as a national vital object, and the MoU on security cooperation that has been running until the groundbreaking of the Police Building, which will be the first police station in JIIPE industrial and port area, are proof that the state is present in the development of economic and security areas in JIIPE Gresik SEZ can be guaranteed by the presence of a police office so that it can provide security to investors, both domestic and international.
JIIPE has prepared a development intended as a police station. JIIPE Gresik SEZ has a very high strategic value with the impact of economic activities that will be born, and for that, of course, there are demands for security tasks to prepare personnel to carry out security properly, said East Java Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Toni Harmanto.
The East Java Police Chief also gave his highest appreciation to all JIIPE management, who helped build the police station as an answer to following up on the activities of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
